Happy Women’s Day…sort of.

I want to dedicate this post to my mother. A strong and ambitious woman, who has always motivated me to strive for success, to give my best and to never back down. My mother has always been by my side – supporting me and helping me be a better person. She has never doubted me (my whole family in fact has never doubted me <3). She has never thought that I will be less successful, because I was born a girl. Rather than this my mom has taugt me that I should rely upon my personal skills, talents and my own determination. She has taught me to be strong and always fight for my dreams. She has showed me how to embrace who I am and not to blame society, but to take matters into my own hands, to work hard and to accomplish my goals.

What I want to say is that I am grateful for having such a strong role-model by my side. Somebody who I can count on. Somebody that is so loving and caring. Somebody like my mom. And I want to thank her, not because she is a woman, but because she is an inspiring human being.

And to all girls (and boys for that matter) out there, embrace who you are. Strive to be better and to achieve everything you desire. Stop searching for excuses, because at the end of the day it is not your gender or sexuality or race that define you.

What is important is what YOU make of yourself.
